All middle school levels will start with a review of map skills and geography from the previous year followed by introduction to geography areas that are applicable to their current year studies. Each level will be exposed to a daily current events outlet customized just for the middle school level.
6th Grade – The 6th grade will study chronological world history that begins with the Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages up to Roman and Greek rule. 6th graders will use Glencoe’s “Journey Across Time” along with other supplementary materials.
7th Grade – The 7th grade will also use Glencoe’s “Journey Across Time” along with other supplementary materials as they continue studies of world history from Roman and Greek rule through the early Middle Ages.
8th Grade – The 8th grade studies chronological USA history that begins with the European Age of Exploration and concludes with United States Civil War. Among other resources, 6th graders will use the Houghton Mifflin Textbook “A More Perfect Union.”
