What a great gift to have Mary Immaculate as mother! - POPE BENEDICT XVI

All that is good is gift from our Lord. What an amazing gift from God, our mother Mary! She wasn’t the first to say yes to God’s will. Many others who came before her in the history of God’s plan for our redemption said yes; Abraham, Moses, Ruth, and Esther are just a few.

But Mary’s yes is so big! She humbled herself, risked public persecution, and said “I don’t understand, but I’ll do it anyway; I’ll bear the son of God, the savior of the world, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I’ll raise Him and love Him and give Him back to you, dear God, but not before I have to watch Him persecuted and die a horrible death on the cross. Yes, God, let it be done to me according to your will.”

With Mary as our role model, may our gracious God grant us the grace we need to say yes to His perfect will for our lives.
